RENREN Regions act to support 2020 and 2050 Energy Targets

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

The increase of renewable energies in the overall energy mix is one of the corner stones of the energy transition in Europe. Our supply with sufficient, clean and affordable energy is connected with huge challenges. The implementation of the ambitious EU energy targets requires substantial and committed efforts also by regional governments. The Renewable Energy Regions Network RENREN, a group of 13 European regions and one small EU Member State exchanged best practices in renewables such as wind, biomass, solar, hydro, geothermal and oceans energy within an Interreg IVC project over three years. 

We are pleased to invite you to the RENREN Final Conference to discuss the role of the regions in renewable energy with high ranking representatives from the regions, the European Parliament, the European Commission and the stakeholders

on Thursday, 18 October 2012, 1.30 – 6.00 pm
